FutureLab got goose pimples from watching the design of Paola Navone’s. Her bathroom settings for Viva Ceramica and the new furniture collection Gingerbread for Entrata Libera were worth the trip alone. At Superstudio Piú Marcel Wanders and Moooi along with Tom Dixon made the biggest impression. And we were very happy to see Front (winners of the FutureDesignDays Award 2003) in so many places. The number one favourite: The wonderful animal lamps for Moooi. The Swedish Home at via Savona was a nice experience. Asplund, David Design, Brio, Electrolux among others showcased hand picked swedish design pieces for the home. Salone Satellite was as usual very colourful and innovative. The arts and crafts was pretty much in the centre of attention together with smart solutions for small spaces – foldable, easy to move and flexible solutions. FutureLab’s favourite was Folkform with its project Material Merge Collection, with butterflies and flowers pressed into masonite. Not to talk about the dog speakers!
