The nominated to the new Swedish Design Award, Design S, were presented at Nordic Light Hotel yesterday. It was obviously great to see that quite a few FutureDesignDays acquaintance were among the 32 nominated; Electrolux with the hoover Ergorapido, Blå Station/Fredrik Mattson with the chair Innovation C, Propeller by Semcon with the media centre Capsule, Materia/Front with the waste-paper basket Office 2006, and OFFECCT with the room-divider Forest. Congrats! All nominated contributions will be shown as a premiere exhibition at the new embassy of Sweden in Washington, opening 13 September. Design S is created and organized by Swedish Industrial Design Foundation, Svensk Form and The Advertising Association of Sweden.
