Simonetta Carbonaro (b 1954) is a psychologist and author of numerous articles and essays on the subject of consumer psychology, strategic design and “customer relationship design”. She is member of the scientific steering committee at the Postgraduate Design School Domus Academy in Milan, Italy, where she is currently teaching business design. She is also professor of Design Management at the Borås College, Sweden, where she teaches humanistic marketing and design direction. For the last 25 years she has been collaborating as a consultant with main European companies (among others IKEA, Philips, Bosch, Siemens Haushaltsgeräte, MIGROS, Mövenpick) in the conception of innovative branding and strategic design projects. As head of the “Value Branding” and “Strategic Design” departments she is now a partner in the German management and marketing consulting firm REALISE. She is also one of the initiators of the project Kaleidoscope.
Simonetta Carbonaro has taken part in FutureDesignDays since the first design festival in 2001, when she was a very inspiring speaker. Last year she acted as expert commentator.
